About Coach Uila
From Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi and graduate of Kamehameha Kapālama
BS from BYU-Provo in Fitness & Wellness Management, Minor in Coaching & Teaching Education. MS from UNLV in Health Promotion.
Met husband at BYU-Provo when she was playing volleyball for the Cougars. They have 6 children together.
Started coaching at BYU summer volleyball camps in 2001 and continued coaching high school in Utah while starting a family. Earned teaching license in Las Vegas and served as a high school head coach and assistant coach for both boys and girls volleyball before moving the family home to Hawaiʻi in 2014.
Currently teaches high school at Kamehameha Kapālama and is entering 7th season as an assistant coach for the girls varsity volleyball team. Been with Maunalani Volleyball Club since 2016 coaching and assisting the club director.
